looking for recommendations on what to start with for a 240 weatherby. I have some 95 grain nosler ballistic tips, 95 gr Berger VLD and some 105 gr Berger vld bullets. My rifle shoots the factory 100 gr weatherby ammo pretty well, little over an inch at 100 yards. I'm also looking for more brass if anybody has some they'd get rid of.

What twist rate? If 1:10, the 105 will likely not work for you.

B, my most accurate load was with the 87gr Berger VLD at 3510 fps. Too bad Weatherby hasn't entered 21st century with faster twists for their barrels. 1:10 isn't allowing use of heavier bullets. The 87's are murdering coyotes here in the Az antelope areas. Good luck.

I've had good success with 95 vlds and 95 ballistic tips. I used h4831...seemed to work well, both grouped well around 3225fps I believe
