I've been loading the 240 and 257 Weatherby loads for a few years but getting away from Alliant RL 22 and RL 25. Any advice will be appreciated. The temp sensitivity is too much, my point of impact changes from summer to hunting season. Any good luck with Hodgdon powder?

I do not load for the 240 but have been told Imr4831 works well. For the 257 I have good luck with H4831sc with 100grn pills, H1000 works good with 110s, compressed or close Retumbo works great for 115grn +. H4831sc works good with all bullets just suffers from lower velocity over the colder powders.

I have read alot of reloaders rant about this load for the .257 mag. 72 grs of IMR 7828 100 gr. Barnes or partioner Mag primmer and oal 3.15-3.17. Should cook over 3500 fps.
