Just starting to load for my M700 VSSF II and looking for some load suggestions. What would a good powder be to try first? I have heard that RL10x and H4895 are good.

Sierra 32gr blitzkings with 27.5grs of benchmark powder. Puts 5 shots in one hole at 100. Work your way up though its pretty hot.

27.5gr of H-4895, Nosler 40gr BT, Nosler cases, Rem Small Rifle BR primer.

Shoots great in my Shilen Barreled (10 twist) Savage. Runs about 3750fps.

I load 27.1 grains of H4895 behind a 40 V-max bullet in Win brass. I ran this load over a chronograph but I don't have the data, but I think it was around 3700 ft/sec and the accuracy was very good in my 28" Encore barrel.

I'm shooting 27gr H4895 at 2.375"oal.
with 39gr sierra bliztkings.

Also check out 204ruger.com

I use Hornady brass, Fed205M primers, 39 gr Sierra Blitzking with 24.8 gr of Reloder 10X. This is a very accurate load in my Remmy 700 SPS Varmint.

Also, check out Home of 204Ruger.com and RugerHunting.com! and go to the forums section, there is a subsection on reloading for the .204, with lots of pet loads listed.
