SOLD/EXPIRED 1st year Remington Sendero

Guys,
Found this on a local site here in Ga, and thought someone might be interested...

Remington Sendero 223 | GON Marketplace

That's not a first year model Sendero. That might be a first year model Sendero SF, but it is not a first year Sendero. The VERY FIRST (original) Senderos were all blued finish, with heavy barrels (non-fluted), jeweled bolt, and the iconic HS Precision stock.

That is not a first year model Sendero SF either. Sendero's are long actions. These are actually VSSF's. Varmint Synthetic Stainless Fluted.

Thanks guys, that's why you are the experts....
So I guess it is true...
you cant beleive everything on the internet..."!

Yes jarodjohns !!!!! You don't know how many people I meet that want to sell me a "SENDERO" and it in some varmint round!! Don't get me wrong they all shoot good most of the time ...but to me if its a "sendero" it will say sendero. Nothing personal mighttman!! Just venting ..sorry

Being a Sendero and VSSF "enthusiast" I will actually throw another curveball into this. I have personally had and sold about 15 Sendero SF's that were not labeled Sendero. You can call Remington and give them the serial number and they will tell you it is a Sendero Stainless Fluted and the caliber. I've had a few of the original matte Sendero's that are not labeled Sendero although the majority have been marked.

No personal offense taken......I am not the Sendero expert (or any expert for that matter), just posted it as I saw the ad...you guys sorted it out...

Oh crap! It is a short action. Yep, you're right. VSSF it is!

Good call Jarrod, I wasn't even paying attention to chamber length or caliber.

This is 100% true.

My factory Sendero SF 7mm STW is not stamped "SENDERO" anywhere on it. And I ordered it brand new directly from Remington, when I worked at the local outdoors store, back in 2002.

Also, a very select few of the original Sendero rifles (blued, non-fluted heavy barrel) were chambered in 7mm STW, and were also not stamped "SENDERO" after the caliber. I have one of those barrels sitting in my gun room right now, awaiting me to buy a donor action to build a nice rifle out of it. :D

I looked at a 7mmRUM Sendero this weekend that had a J' lock and was not stamped Sendero, guy wanted $1100.00!

If it was a Sendero SF model, believe it or not, that wasn't that bad of a price. I've seen SF 7mm STW's go for $1,600+ for the bare rifle...USED. Ordered mine new back in 2002...Prices were alot different back then. LOL

Some sendero variations. - The far right that is my mini sendero. 2nd from right is the 700 LV in a swift. 7mm rem mag. 7mmstw. (right to left)
