180 vld berger -280AI ?

Anybody tried the 180 berger in their 280ai ?
If so any starting loads with h-1000 -re 17 -imr 7828ssc ?

I haven't tried the 180's, I shoot the 168 in mine. I have been a little disappointed in my velocities with the 168, so I'm not sure about the 180.

You need enough barrel to get good vel. with 180s. I get 3000+ with 27" barrel and RL17. I just noticed this post was 7 years ago...lol

I get over 3,000 fps from my 280 AI with a 27" barrel shooting 180-grain Berger VLD-H in front of about 62 grains of RL-26. (I still see people posting on this subject elsewhere. Lots of posts mention RL-26 for this bullet and cartridge.)
