Congratulations. I used to get ready by walking on the treadmill at 4 mph which is a 15 minute a mile pace. Then every 3 minutes I would elevate it 3 degrees. If you can do 30 minutes you are in great shape. Good luck. We will need photos.

I was drawn for the 3rd hunt. Think I'm good for cold weather gear. I was there 8 years ago with a buddy who drew the same hunt. It wasn't as cold as it can get but the winds really blew some days on the mountain. Made looking through the spotting scope almost impossible. Couldn't find a ram while I was there but him and another hunter teamed up and managed to kill a double on the second last day.

Your not really hiking too far for this hunt.. It's a waiting and toughing out the conditions game with the weather. While you wait for rams to leave the mine or the park

Yeah, I am glad I was there once helping a friend that got drawn. It is a different style of mountain hunting for bighorns. No need to figure out my rifle I'm using. The 270wsm worked for my last Alberta bighorn and should do the trick this fall as well.
