So, results were much better than hoped for!

Shot 8 rounds Sunday afternoon - pressure test, mostly, but also looking for signs of grouping. Started test at 59.5 and worked up to 63.0 grains in 1/2 grain increments. Decided to test 62.3 grains in hopes for grouping to be settled, as it looked like it should be, and to have fps around 3050.

Six shot test today, and WoW! My fps averaged 3055. first shot fouling and then shots 2-6 all on top of each other.

There were no pressure signs at all. Picture of brass from first day test included. Target shows grouping on first test and on second test. POI is almost identical between the two. Equal measure up and left of center - = 0.915"

Browning 7mm Rem Mag. Barnes 150 TTSX set at 0.50" from lands

Very Happy with this load.

Those are 2 patterns I would not be happy about, 3 clustered, then the outlier shift of 2 and 1 away in each group is concerning to me.

Needs more work…

Cheers.
You are right... It's kinda looking like it might be producing double groups.. Needs more rounds fired to confirm. 1 of my 300wins does this with 1 load but the other 2 don't. She is right on the edge of great and actually is with 220 eld-x and v570.

imo a primer switch from a 215 to a wlrm might do it for this 7rem... Or simply a wlr if you don't run in really cold temp ever.

Well, it is early here for me... but I think I detect a bit of humor in that... Let me get some coffee and think about it. :)

I'm not sure where you see any humour. I certainly was not being facetious in my reply.

I could suggest ways to tighten the group, but, I feel you wouldn't listen and have already made it clear your willingness is not there to improve it.

Have fun with your future endeavours.

Cheers.

Hey, no offense was intended in my response. i have a hard time reading facial expressions from a keyboard... and i quite frquently deal with "humorus" folk. If you are serious, then by all means, please send your suggestions.

Ditch the 215M for a 215 and you'll probably get rid of the flyer. With a 215, you'll notice that the first round cold is same POI as everything else. I've tried the WLRM and WLR like LEFTY said but they were consistently 30fps slower and groups were so-so.
I run H1000 with the 215 and don't have flyers.
I've also tried Reloader 23 with 215M. That group wont be the same come hunting season. Try it with the 215. Just my experience..

I'd like to hear more on Match primers causing flyers and causing larger groups than a standard version, please. Cold bore impacts, etc.

I'm not sure there is a discernible difference either way but I'd like to hear the reasoning.
Just because a primer box says match on it doesn't mean it's the best choice for that load.
A primer switch may do nothing, but it may just kill that 80 fps x on the rl23 load..
I sincerely doubt that there's any real difference between the 215m and the 215; I load them interchangeably. The m simply costs more as it's made by the most experienced guys and is about as good as you are gonna get. If jbur13 is seeing a difference, it'll eventually iron out as a load that needs more work with either primer.
The rl26 load seems good other than the guy steering the rifle whiffed 1 a bit to the right, but it too needs a couple more groups to prove average accuracy.

My 2nd sentence is the one I should've emphasized.
If QC is higher on the match version, I just dont see it causing anything erratic. Assuming the potency of the match and blue box are the same, I mean. And I'm sure they are.

My BAD!!!! I meant the 210 primer. Federal large rifle primer. not the magnum. This week has been rough and I'm a ******* sometimes haha.
