Those pics are incredible....wow
Why would you bother to try to clean them... that's a THEM PROBLEM! That's alot of moisture exposure....think of the trigger tooEmail response back from Seekins, they want both rifles back after I make an attempt to clean the barrels to see if they come out clean. Tried calling them easily 10-12 times from this morning through this afternoon and no one answers.
Exactly thoughts. As of right now, the retailer has been excellent to do an exchange but requires another 6 hour round trip. They only have 1 on hand of the 6creed so I'm trying to decide how risky it is to travel that far again with my luck. They won't scope the bore to verify its condition. Response back from Seekins just a few moments ago was (3) options, send in both rifles entirely for inspection, option 2 was just sending both barrels back to them for new barrels, option 3 was work with the retailer. It just ticks me off, every email I sent to seekins I phrase it "you need to call me" and provide my telephone #, left 3 voicemails with my number and yet have they called to discuss this.... All emails. Why would you bother to try to clean them... that's a THEM PROBLEM! That's alot of moisture exposure....think of the trigger too
I would pull the barrels and send them in as per email.Exactly thoughts. As of right now, the retailer has been excellent to do an exchange but requires another 6 hour round trip. That's a good idea if you're buying in a gun store. The last two rifles I've bought were sight unseen from a seller here and from EuroOptics.Call me crazy but on the factory rifles I've bought I always pull the bolt and hold the barrel up to a light and visually inspect. It's not a borescope but you can see rust.
That's my end result. The retailer (Eurooptics) has been top notch and excellent through this entire process. If logistics didn't come into a factor, I would have just let them handle this situation on an exchange. This morning, Seekins generated an RMA for me to return both barrels only for 2 new barrels. If things go as planned, according to the Warranty claim form, the claim is projected to be fulfilled by July 5. Call me "ole fashion" but I despise a company's sole form of communication is through emails. Overseas company, ok but on home soil, no reason at all. When I began to have interest in the Seekin company after much research, I had a few minor questions so I emailed them. Not 10 minutes later after I sent the email, I get a call from customer service and the gentleman said it was just easier to call with the answers. Have they been prompt? Yes, but there's no personal interaction with customers over an email. Countless of calls and voicemails to call me and still, 2 full business days later, not a callback. Even the manager from Eurooptics said that Seekins didn't responded to their complaint on my behalf. Update once new barrels arrive and boowitz down range.I would pull the barrels and send them in as per email.
Crap happens and they are and have been in contact to take care of the problems.
There isn't a company out there that hasn't had something slip through.
It's comes down to how you are taken care of.
Let them take care of it.
They all suck, FedEx, ups and USPS...in that order.Sounds like they took care of you at least. I get it, but sounds like solid customer service none the less. Fedex was to lazy to ring my doorbell td... Took a photo of the door and said I didn't answer... Everything is getting automated/A I'd.
