Can only keep one rifle what do you choose?

I would have to settle on my Browing 30-06... if forced to keep only one rifle. It's the rifle that harvested my biggest lifetime 10 pointer this past December. My other rifles have plenty on meat in the freezer moments... but can't give up the rifle that brought down the biggest prize! :)
I do have a Belgium mare Browning BAR
.30-06 one of my favorites 👍

I think I responded to another post like this here, but it seemed to be more hunting over all, and my pick was 94 .30-30 Win or a .375 H&H. Now, with that said, in today's world and only having one, I think it would be my M1A, it pretty much can be pressed into doing everything well enough, mine is an extremely accurate rifle. Just my 0.02 Cheer's 🫡

our Savage 110 308

Small game - Trail Boss Loads with 28 bhn hard cast 180 grain - No expansion saves the squirrel meat.
Varmints and predators - 110 vmax - enough range for me.
Medium game (deer) - 130 TSSX. - best bullet we have used
Big game (elk, moose) - 168 TTSX. - just try this - it defies current theory.
30 cal Lazzeroni Warbird, with extra barrels.

I have hunting rifles in everything from 17HMR to 45-70, but the last two rifles I would part with are my Accuracy International AT in .308/6.5CM/6XC and my Knights Armament SR25 ACC in .308. I've shot the AI to 1500yds and the SR25 to 800. I know them both very well and have multiple loads for them. The AI has shot 1/3" groups at 300yds if the conditions are good and the SR25 will usually shoot 3/4 MOA with factory or handloads.

Very cool camo, me likey 👍

If I may be given the latitude to be a little critical with some of the responses given.

My understanding of the question was to be interpreted as…….one cartridge to serve you, not a "switch-barrel" rifle. The "switch-barrel" rifle, while certainly having great merit…….seems to be a bit of a "cop out" to the intent of the question!

I see it as if sacrifices "must" be made……what one cartridge will remain? memtb
