How to ship

Pirate Ship is on your computer, not a physical location. You go into it just like coming in here. You'll need to get an electronic scale, got my scale at WalMart for under $20. Create an account with PS, then enter the required info, pick how you want it shipped, print the postage, and drop the package off. It is a savings and I've yet to have any issues using it. You're still using the same shippers, just at a discount.

I used a digital bathroom scale to weigh my boxed-up rifle. When I dropped it off at the local USPS, the gal put the box on her scale. She got a weight that was a few ounces less than my scale.

I learned about Pirate Ship from a prior conversation on here and really glad I did. Quick, simple, easy to track and has saved $$. Printing the labels at home and making a drop off at UPS saves time too.

I have found a good place to get packages for my barrel shipping is to go to the little one stop shipping places, they use about everyone, and quite often they have used map tubes and will sell them for 2 or 3 bucks each. They have worked very well so far for the 2 or 3 I have done

I Use SHIPPO.com to ship whatever I ship. About 75% cheaper than USPS or UPS. Shippo is a UPS carrier. I just print the label out, walk into the self-service, scan and drop in the cart. No questions ask. It's none of their business what I ship!

I ship a lot of chainsaws with PirateShip. The last one was $47 from California to Michigan thru UPS. Sometimes USPS Ground Saver is a couple bucks cheaper. Just measure, weigh, print out the label and ship it. Easy peasy. My UPS guy comes to my house and picks them up for me.

If shipping is something you plan to do often...get an account with your shipper...I don't know about your U.S. postal service as I am Canadian...but when I got a Canada Post account...it was about a 40% discount from regular rates....

Pirate ship. It saves a fortune. I shipped a kifaru pack last year, it costed me $110 in shipping so ruined the sale. Sold an initial ascent with the same box dimensions a month or so ago through pirate ship and it was less than 1/2 the cost
