Why does it seem so dead in the reloading forum?

Why does it seem so dead in the reloading forum. If I knew a conversation starter, I would bring it up. Just seems like there is very little participation. Everybody get mad at each other? Did people move on to other forums? I usually check the forum everyday at lunch and again after work and I have disappointed that there hasn't been much of a discussion going on.

I would say there may just be less reloaders overall. Since there's a lot factory available loads with good, top quality bullets. Unless, you have a wildcat or are tweaking your load to your rifle for absolute accuracy there's less need to reload.

I'll always reload. That said, I don't have a lot of questions to ask. Maybe it is the fact that I can ask any question and within 20 posts, I can get the correct answer, the wrong answer, an answer that might kill me start 2 ****ing matches and be personally attacked.

Could be several reasons. The time of year is one. Costs of components could be another. Fishing season. Turkey season. Various other outdoor activities. Etc, etc. Another reason could be forum burnout. Many members have come and gone or just don't post anymore. Even I left the forum a few years back and then returned. Not everyone does.
 
I think with the scarcity and expense of components combined with factory ammo being available and of good quality a lot of new shooters simply aren't reloading.
Case in point I just bought a 6arc for my kids and wife to use and I was at rural king and they had some factory hornady 108 eldm ammunition for $28 a box so I said what the heck I'll try it because I didn't have dies and brass yet and it shot phenomenal and it is very reasonably priced.
I don't blame new people for not taking the plunge and getting into it. More experienced people just simply don't ask as many questions. Just my thoughts.
 
I just like the process. It gives me something to do and I am constantly trying to improve. I'm like a sponge just trying to soak up as much information as I can. I'm not a dullard when it comes to reloading. I am fairly knowledgeable but, I certainly don't know everything and that is why I keep searching for more knowledge. Maybe its the search for knowledge that I find just as enjoyable as the reloading process itself. I certainly enjoy the conversations we have on the forum.
 
I have been thinking about starting a thread about using A.I. I too have been using it to make inquiries. Be leery though. A couple of times I have found it to make mistakes and you really have to be persistent with it to get it to admit that it made a mistake. I also find interesting that times if you ask the same question from a different computer, you can get different answers.
