I am new to long range shooting and hunting. I have been a hunter all my life but mainly focused on Waterfowl.

I purchased a Savage 110 in 7MM PRC with a Vortex Venom 3-15x44 MRAD I am also putting a silencer on it.
what is the main tool you would use to get over the instant trigger jerk that comes with shotgun shooting but puts a rifle round all over the target.

Best trigger control regimen is dry firing every night for a couple of hours with the rifle set-up as it would be when hunting.
You want to squeeze the trigger until it releases and follow through. Follow through is when the scope cross hair does not move after the trigger breaks. This is important, at no time should there be a start and stop to trigger movement, it is one fluid motion before and after.
As you get accustomed to it's feel, you will know when in it will break, the notion that it should be a surprise is horse hockey, know your trigger break and you will be a better shooter.

Welcome to the forum.

Cheers.

Welcome to LRH, and enjoy!

Do you have a 22 rifle? You can get a lot of good trigger training with them. It won't help with recoil control, but will definitely help with the anticipation and jerking the trigger.
I do have a 22. Yes there is a muzzle break on it just waiting on my atf clearance for my silencer.
