How does loctite hold up to high temps IRL?
Also, I loosen at the end of each shooting session so the suppressor doesn't bind up on the threads making it very difficult if wanting to remove later…...just saying.
If you are hitting 800F with a long range hunting bolt gun (this IS Long Range Hunting.com you know)...quit shooting at the animal and call it a loss.
I think you're on to something here. I've had some pretty good engagements with sounders of hogs that kinda turn into mag dumps with AR10's, and not even gotten the suppressor hot enough to worry about skin sticking to it, let alone 800°F LOL. They rifles do look cool in the thermal afterward though. Never had the QD loosen during one of these encounters either, or during a range session. I have had to wait for them to cool down to get the can off easily, as everything gets hot and swells they get kinda tight.
