Does anyone know if Strelock or another app will allow for the ballistic app to correct scope dialing errors due to poor scope calibration aside from bc or mv?

I have a Leupold vx 5 HD. It has an approximate 3 % dialing error. I have verified this with a tall target test at 100 yards and at range. I have tried to true with MV or with BC, but fixing it at one range only creates errors at other ranges.

Yesterday I trued with BC at 950. 200 gr Berger HBT went from .316 to .376. This is too high. Labradar Ave muzzle velocity is 2678 fps. That bc jump is creating big errors. It should be 3.6 inches per dialed mil, but is actually about 3.7 inches per dialed mil at 100 yrds. At distance this matters.

1134 yards low -.3 mil (-3%)
950 yards trued by b.c.(0)
750 yards high .1 mil (+2%)
390 yards high .2 mil (+11%)

Truing the MV jumps it up to 2772. The errors are even farther off at those ranges.

The scope is repeatable just annoyingly wrong. My hope is to correct it by telling an app to dial 103% of what is real.

Another option time for a new scope or will Leupold correct it?

This is in the subsection "scope" please note the ability to adjust (vert. Correction, moa) in Strelok app

Great. I did not know that was an adjustable option. It let me input 1.03. I will test that soon as I get a chance.

Southpaw Tikka

Thank You

In your rifle set up with the Shooter app at the very bottom is elevation and windage correction factor that will adjust any differences between your dope and your scope tracking.

In theory & If you are off 3% and I figgered this right, your input should either be .25389... if 3% shy or .26960 if in excess. Minute per click (4) is .26175

Or should the difference (the 3%)be subtracted or added to m.o.a. then divided per click? I know I am over thinking this... someone smarter than me will clear this up

applied ballistics as well as Shooter and I'm sure several others.

It's a correction factor. It will either be 1.03 if each click is bigger than 0.25 moa and 0.97 if smaller.

I watched the video. Unfortunately I don't have ability to measure my 100 yard tall target with that kind precision. I will have to rely on the field results at multiple ranges to verify. Error stacking is a concern.
I inputed the .103 mils in the Strelock verticle value. After adjusting the BC to match the 950 clicks it matches at 750 and 1134, but is still high at 390. I have been monkeying with the BC and click value to get them all to agree at 4 different ranges not quite there yet. In the end the field results will need to verify Strelock Russian math.

Strelock shows the MRAD and labels the corrected value under clicks.
