Best powder for 6.5 PRC and Barnes 127 LRX

Going to try the 127 LRX a try. Barnes gives several powders for it. Has anyone went through the process of going through these and which one helped you the most. Thinking of trying RL26. Thanks for any reply's.
 
RL 26 and H1000 should be good for that combo. Both are very hard to come by.
 
Do you have any data from either to which one did a better job. I have both but it gets expensive. Barnes had the 26 as their second fastest velocity but fastest don't always mean best. Thanks for your input.
Also have you seen any specs on how much neck tension they like.

I had the best luck with IMR8133. Unfortunately, 8133 has been discontinued. I also shot H1000. I shot 50, 60, 70 and 80 off (Barnes suggests not going tighter than 50 off). I found 70 off with 60.9gr of 8133 to shoot very good. It was around 1/2 MOA at 200 yards with a velocity of 3170fps from a 26in barrel. It was very compressed. I used a drop tube and tapped the cases to push down the powder as much as possible. I'll have to look in my book later for the H1000 data. I worked up from 59gr to 60.9 of 8133 in a OCW style ladder test.
 
I use R-S Magnum & VN165 in my 6.5-06 that has about 95% case capacity of the 6.5 PRC. Velocities of 6.5-06 are about 5% less than those of 6.5 PRC but the .30-06 parent case is skinny with slopy shoulders & designed almost 120 years ago. Lacking VN165, that might go extinct, the relatively available AA4350 provides acceptable results with long for weight, solid copper bullets. Some H4831SC is now available. Magnum primers with thick deterrent coated ball powders.

Rough to hear I was using 8133 in my 7 mag with great results. Is it being replaced. I'll read up or call them.

I have been using N165 in my PRC and it showed very good groups. It wasn't listed on Barnes site so I figured I'd ask others for information.
