I am looking for the best choice of powder for my Kimber Hunter in 280 AI shooting the 160 AB bullet.
The twist is 1:9.5.

H4831sc or reloder 26. Just loaded mine up same bullet with reloder 26

Just be aware that 26 is pretty sensitive to temp. I don't use that powder for hunting because of it. Locked my bolt up when temps got hot.

Yeah, I have used different RL powers and found several to be temp sensitive. Mostly RL22 in my 270WSM. Variation between lots happens also.
3060fps. Never had much of an issue with temp.

I just loaded up some 160gr AB with R26 in my 280AI, 24" Benchmark 1-9 twist
I loaded 3 of each with 59.5/60.0/60.5/61.0grs
COAL 3.330"
Fed 210 Primers
Sorry the targets are a little ragged as it was pouring rain !

I've had a bunch of guys tell me to use RL23. I'm building a 280 AI right now and waiting on my barrel to show up

I used to run RL22 untill I tried RL23

I shoot 150s in my 280 and have good luck with H100v which would indicate the 4350 powders would be good as well
Never tried RL22 which I use all the time in my 257wby
