Big guns

I have a Whitworth in 375 and have taken moose with it.I got tired of the pounding so I worked up a load with a Hornady 220 gr flat nose.It is now in their manual. One hole at 100 and 1 inch at 200

You are a lucky man, Whitworth in .375 H&H is just plain golden, I sold my Whitworth .375 H&H years back... a major mistake.

Sorry to hear but know what you mean
I have the cz550 safari magnum in 375 H&H I have sold a few that I regretted the nex day lol
A 375 will drop anything in its tracks with the right range and shot placement

I've two .375's, one an H&H the other an AI. The H&H is a standard Win. Model 70 from the early eighties. Shoots great, but too heavy for serious hunting on foot. The AI, is much lighter and a couple hundred fps faster with equal bullets. It has been my "only" hunting rifle since March of 1990. The Model 70 is retired, but, I will never part with it as long as I still breathe! memtb

Nice to hear lol I dont mind a heavy gun the cz550 is 9.2 lbs without the small scope and brake
Any gun to me always seems to feel like 12lbs atthe end of the day lol

You got that right lol

browndcm, My AI, while not exactly light, weighs-in at 9 pounds 1 ounce, scoped, loaded, and slung! It's a reasonable, maybe even near perfect, hunting weight. Though, as I age, it's getting a little heavy for an "all day hunt"! I have said before, "when I'm carrying it, I wish it were 2 pounds lighter....when shooting from the bench, I wish it were 2 pounds heavier"! I guess 9 pounds is a good compromise! memtb
