this big boy is hitting the bait only at night.

Gonna change up tactics and try calling him in during the day. I know he is staying close, as we have other pics of him on waterhole cam approx. 500 yards from bait site.

that is a 55 gal drum about five feet from him :grin:

you typically use the local food source sounds.

ie., fawn in distress, jack rabbit, lost sheep distress

figure out what he eats and sound like that.

Been having the same trouble lately, we passed up a couple hoping that my wife would get a shot at one , which will be her first. After archery elk opened the yogis started to only hit at night ,were hunting public land.Not as big as yours but our average bears are between 150-200lbs, and can be a pretty trying hunt , but those of us who are hooked on hunting bears are hooked! The can in the back is a 20 gallon can chained to a stump , they managed to get the lid off ill have to latch it better!
