This Boyd's stock shows that the RAP barreled action is a very nice rifle when it is in a very nice stock. Like night and day compared to plastic green Ruger stock. Makes the rifle feel and look like a much higher quality piece.

Is this a short action? Does the barrel free float in this stock?

Yes, short action. I added that info to my OP. Thanks for the heads up.
Barrel is entirely free floated.

OK Bill, got all your PM's and sent you one on epoxying in that rear V block.

Boyd's sends the blocks totally loose so they perfectly fit your rifle when epoxy bedded since there are always slight variations from the factory in how the receiver female V slots are machined.
