Bed every rifle before even shooting them. Helps avoid chasing the tail.

I just called bergara and they said go ahead and bed it. I didn't want to void the warrenty. I agree with the bedding first comment.

Good steel can handle heat. If your barrel is walking with heat you have stress in the barrel. Even a pencil barrel will handle 3 shots if its a good piece of steel.

The stress can be either in the barrel or the action or both.
