I left Oregon in 1980 for college and then the USAF. The state was fine then. Conservative. I moved back in 2007.

a lot unfortunately, I've lived here since I was born in a bed room of the house that I currently own, My parents arrived here from SW Colorado in the mid 70's, I grew up in probably one of the most hippy environs any one could have stumbled into besides the rajneeshees' my family didn't own guns until I came of age because my parents agreed when my eldest brother was born to not have any in the house. I grew up fairly firearm sterile. but i learned eventually and all my siblings are gun owners and my parents have nothing against them now.

and this **** that is going on now is not part of native Oregonians making a choice, this is all outside influence trying to change us once again.

Leave Oregon the **** alone! that's why were such a great place to live. were not California, were not any of the states by us. we do **** our own way please leave us out of this.

Afp1...Slater on the west side towards bone is Roseburg...that draw will take you darn near the top and almost connect you to the 1200 line of Bone(which was originally owned and logged by a little company called LouisianaPacific..whom later changed their name to GeorgiaPacific)
Slater creek to the top was BLM..even a few units to the east side of the road...out Beehive Ridge Road..and all the way to the back canyon overlooking the 1224 rd down from 1220..spent a lot of hours in that canyon..heard there was really old logging equipment somewhere in all that reprod(when I was in there) but now I hear it is scalped...
those road signs disappeared a long time ago...but the memories of a REALLY good buck and bulls up there are tarnished..had a big buck that I hunted for a couple years up there..Ol' Walter...he was a huge coastal blacktail..every year I saw him with a bow he got bigger..never did see him when rifle hunting...heard some *** spotlighted him...never seemed right to go up there after that....
The elected(and nonelected) governing people in Oregon are destroying what used to be one of the premier if not the premier state for outdoor hunting and fishing enthusiast..
Oregon has/had some of the best fishing for most every species freshwater and salt...some of the best hunting for blacktail, whitetail & mule deer...and some of the best Roosevelt and rocky elk imaginable...great upland bird hunting & waterfowl hunting....but now the heritage is being destroyed..not by hunters..but by nonparticipating individuals whom want us not only to not be able to continue our heritage of hunting..but want to take away our guns...
Having been born and raised in Oregon..and knowing what it was and will never be again..is tough......

I played in the Shriners All-star football back in 85...got to travel to and stay in LaGrande for two weeks...what a beautiful area...got to do the gondola ride up the wallowa mountain for a day...beautiful country.....now I hear it is like Jackson hole.....full of out of staters votng out old time regulations and imposing big city garbage.....
Haven't a clue where you can go..unless Burns or Lakeview...still small enough to enjoy yet big enough for good times and good people.....

that all these stupid fucks in my county (multnomah) make stupid ******* laws about ****, and the people of this county are 99% of the ******* problem for the rest of the state. Go eat breakfast at the diner @ warm springs bridge and you'll be treated better than your entire life on this side of the mountain. Go down to the Big Dog on crooked river ranch (******* retiree-ville and they're all from the west side of the mountain) and you can walk in with you're side arm on while hunting. go out to Plush and see what a town of 5-10 people looks like. Go to wallowa and have a burger at the black bear, and talk to folk there about whats important. Go anywhere but the metro/valley and realize life is still much as it always has been here.

The valley needs to stop legislating for the rest of the state.

Each state seems to have this problem of big cities ruling the rest of the state through the ballot.....Seattle rules Washington State. I saw recently an article about "New California", in which a portion of California wants to split off and form a new state. Basically making all of the big cities a state, and the rest would be New California.... Hmmm, I thought, what if all states on the Left Coast did this, Washington and Oregon would surely benifit! On the Timber Companies charging for hunting access, I uphold their right to do this as it is private property, however in doing so, they should lose any tax credits they are getting for allowing public access. Why is no one in the government screaming about this?

Yep..each state has its mass of misaligned voters that vote as the lefties want..without full truths...
Oregon started losing with Barbra Roberts?...she was the turning point of destruction...Kitzslobber didn't do anything other then give a million more acres to the warm springs tribe(McQueen(?) Strip)...my brothers and I hunted that while we built houses in of all places Multnomah county...Indians said they needed it for life...it sure is funny there are one or two fires on warm springs that require federal funding to fight....
I was also informed a few years back that before Kitzslobber got booted he signed a bill to allow the Indians(who had wiped out animal numbers on the res)to hunt anywhere in the state..sudsistance..my buddy is 75 or so..can still walk me to death...he was told this by an Indian hunting all the way over by sweethome...just a little ways from the res....
Cities trying to annex themselves from big cities isn't new in Oregon..especially in lane county..Florence tried it many years ago..same as California cities are trying now...the big cities and government excuse for not allowin it to happen..imposed taxes..more money for county seat from the budget of the little city....purely money...
And wow do I agree about all the stupid asses in Portland metro...it sucks...work all week just to leave town on Friday only to return to work on Monday........
Access fees aren't a bad idea for timber companies as long as the people that buy that permit at a reasonable price get full access to use the lands..Weycos fees covered brush picking, a broom hunting, hiking and much more...And it was to all their properties...not one gate like some are doing...$500 to all properties or $350 per gate...or lease a place that may or may not have any animals...how much help do the property owners get from odfw..game management monies... animals hunters help to regulate numbers... Can we now include loss of hunting do to illegal immigrants going to the hills and filling their freezers every week...happened before...and the other controversial IA...the wolves destroying animal numbers as we type...
but beware..
A buddys buddy in LaGrande bow hunting was circled by a pack up in mt.Emily...when home, a knock on his door, an odfw cop, just thanking him for not shooting one of the wolves...they have more rights than humans...

Kinda funny how "Fornies" move here cause they hate it down there. Then the first thing they do it try to make our state just like the one they moved away from. If a boarder wall ever does get built, we can only hope it has Calli on the south side of it. And before a bunch of folks go nuts over this post, I do have friends in that state who share pro 2A values. I'm not saying they are all a bunch of lying liberal trash.

Go a step further....since the Californians have check stations on the way in..all the roads on the way out need border agents...don't let anyone with any suspicious look leave California...they can eat, sleep and **** in that state...
Oops I guess I am too late on the shitting in their own state....as per news the bay area is a huge cesspool.....

If you have heard of or followed the show...a group of people did a lot of paperwork on ol' AH.....discovered that the government..our government lied to us about his death....and he made it all the way into South America..where he died.....but I was watching a news cast with up and coming people trying to win the Mexican presidency...at the end of each speech each speaker gave the HiHitler hand salute to the crowd...I don't believe I was seeing things..it was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it and rewound it for the wife and kid to see....unbelievable...
Back to the show....Norway had Germans making heavy water in their country and fully supported AH...the Catholic Church( I think in Italy) gave new paperwork to the Germans leaving Germany and heading out to Argentina....when asked why the church did what they did..."because we would rather of had Germany rule than the Russian's".........."which was/is the worst evil"...

I watched that show! Interesting and a bit shocking. Didn't catch the Mexico speech. Do you remember when our X pres, Osama Obama gave a speech in front of a group of high ranking muslim leaders. While walking off stage he gave the hand signal they use to indicate their belief in there being only their god. They crowd went nuts. If memory serves, the story was on Fox News.

Missed that salute...did put his head up his own *** to make the salute...
