Loaded some for a buddy. 77grs H1000, 2905FPS. but groups were 1"-1.25". I don't think his gun is really capable of shooting any better then that. Skinny barrel, light weight hunting gun. He was pleased with it, and now has gotten himself a reloading set up.

I started at book length for my 30-378, and worked out to 3.680" in .010" increments the longer i went the tighter the group got.

That is exactly my plan Frank!! after a 3 shot group you can actually fry an egg on the barrel!!

Hornady has powders listed on their website for this bullet and cartridge combo, but you probably know that. I am using this bullet in my 30-378wby with H50BMG i am having good luck.

I have one. There is no factory ammo up here in Canada yet though as it has not be approved. I have heard of people shooting over 3500fps with the 127gr LRX factory ammo. I have only been able to hand load for it so far, and have not shot through a chrony yet.

Seems like a lot of bullet for a 7mm. But i'm curious to see what others have to say!

I don't personally own a 300 win mag. But i was loading some 210gr nosler long range accubonds for a friend, we had good results with RL26 and H4831SC.

I never played with the 168 bergers in my ackley, saved those for the 7mm wby. My ackley shot the 140gr Barnes TTSX very well using IMR 4350, it also like the Hornady 139gr SST's with IMR 4831, both bullets where very easy to find a load for.

Has anyone done any reloading for the new 6.5-300 Weatherby??

I'm not sure why it would matter if the POI changes with the chrony on your barrel. Not like you're going to be packing it around on your gun at a competition or in the bush. Shoot for accuracy and then check velocities after.

Curious as to whether or not you found a load for the ELDX in your 300? I have been playing with the 200grs in my 30-378, i have yet to get a group to be satisfied with. So far the best group has been using H1000, grouped about 1.8''@100yards.
