Large vs small rifle primers and converting large to small

Well spoke to Bruce Bertram he did say yes it can be done, but is extremely busy trying to keep up with the demand that you guys are ordering. Also he did say I'm probably the only one asking for 303 Brit with small primer and flash, I would be better off bushing a few cases and experiment with...

Large vs small rifle primers and converting large to small

Thanks J E interesting that you threaded the bush it, also how did you reduce the flash hole size. I tend to think on the same lines that the 303 Brit maybe to big and now its AI'd the case volume has increased even more. But just for ***** n giggles like to give it a try. Thanks Trnelson yes...

Large vs small rifle primers and converting large to small

G'Day Guys I may have posted this twice. Anyway can some one explain to me the benefits of a small primer used in a 308 Palma Lapua size case and I have seen that 6.5 Creed is now coming out in small primer. I ask this as my 6.5 Epps project in nearly finished and was looking at experimenting...

G'Day Guys Whats the benefits of a small rifle primer in a 308 size case eg 308 Palma Lapua and now I see that 6.5 Creedmore comes in small rifle. I ask this as my 6.5 Epps project is nearly finished and was thinking about bushing from large rifle to small rifle as an experiment. I have read...

    25-06 vs 6.5 creedmore

Never fired a 6.5 CM so no advice there but did enjoy shooting a 25-06 AI with a 28" barrel. So how about a 6.5-06 AI. I have always wondered why Berger and co have not made higher BC designed bullets like they make for the 6 & 6.5mm.

    Pillar bedding tips?

Same here make my own pillars using stainless steel bolts machined down to correct length the centre drilled. Once the stock is drilled I also run a tap through the holes. Using threaded pillars and threaded stock this creates a greater surface area for epoxy to grip. Been using Miles Gilbert...

Sightron SIII or Vortex PST SFP???

The Sightron has better glass but I didn't like the reticle option that they had at the time so went PST. Still happy with my choice.

    Timber stock repair

The other glue I was thinking of is West System epoxy 105 and 206 hardener. From what I have read it's low viscosity making it easier to get it into the cracks and extremely strong bonds.

G'Day Guys Yesterday was cleaning my old mans Anschultz 22H 1432 and decided to pull the action for a quick check. Thus found a hair line crack from the front action screw hole to the mag well and also from the hole towards the fore end underneath can't see it in the barrel channel but no...
