Be careful about this site, not sure they are legit. Google reports say they take money and orders but never ship the product.

    338 Sherman "brush gun"?

The 338 RCM was developed for exactly what you want. The Ruger 77 Hawkeye is a great compact gun with 20" barrels, I have one. I like the caliber so much I built another on a savage action with a 22" Proof Carbon barrel, it hammers 230 grain Hornady ELD X's. Keeping your range to 300 yards any...

    Remington 600 .350 mag

Great carry gun that packs a punch. In mine I shoot 200 barnes tsx w/ TAC powder @2800 (use a heavy crimp). Does have recoil, broke the reticle in a 2x7 burris in less than 20 shots!

It is a great set...

    Bullet suggestions for elk

Go to alliants web page and click on the powder you are looking for data, they give loads for some bullets that will get you an idea to start. I have had good luck with rl 22, started working with rl 23. You may need to crimp your load because top loads will be highly compressed.

Glad your son likes and uses it , great gun! The older I get the lighter my guns are getting. I think if I could find a gen 1 700 ti in a 30-06 I may retire most of my gun safe and use that! Good luck to you and your son this hunting season!!!

Rifle Build 35 whelen light weight

Great choice on your Whelen build, I built mine 14 years ago after a tough hunt where I swore I would never carry a long heavy rifle on an elk hunt again. Only difference I had little money to use so, I got a Shaw 22" Stainless Rem contour in a 35 Whelen Ackley Improved, Mcmillan stock, talley...
