I got a 116 weather warrior in 25-06 shooting under an inch at 250 off a pedestal rest & ear bag. I don't think it's so much barrel contour as what was mentioned above. I'd invest in a good trigger, stock, & bedding job before I would a new barrel.

hello everyone, I was wondering what powder's you would recommend for a 24 inch barreled 243 AI to launch some 105 amax's. any idea's on obtainable velocity would be appreciated as well. would like to get all I could out of her. Thanks again.

I manage the long gun dept. of a very large gun store, & we have more happy savage customers than any other manufacturer hands down when it comes to accuracy. Savage produces a lot Of 1/2 MOA rifles right out of the box.

I own the predator max1 in 243. just recently had it reamed out to the AI version. the only ammo I've put through it so far has been the 58gn. VMAX hornady superformance, which it was shooting 5 shot groups right at an inch at 250 yds. Either way, I think you'll be happy

Got this fellow last sunday here in kentucky. He & two buddy's came in to some female invitational howls. This was my first coyote with my new savage predator max1 in 243. here's his pelt with a 500 watt light shining on it after I cased him out

if you go the remington route, keep in mind there factory specs. for accuracy is 2 inches at 100 yds. I'd highly reccomend the savage. most likely you'll get a rifle that will shoot the way you would expect a custom gun to.

if you use another drag function other than G1, wouldn't you have to change the B.C. too? on mine, it doesn't seem to change it automatically. is there a formula to convert from one to the other?
