How long did it take you to find out this is the load that your rifle likes the most?

Ft. Benning has a lot to offer soldiers in the realm of professional development. If there is anything I could ever help with I will be happy to. When it comes to reloading, I have great mentors and teammates to turn my questions to. Like marksmanship, there is never “the way” but only “A way”...

I am a marksmanship instructor for AMU. I do my best to visit the load room when I have time and they have the availability.

The 22 week basic training has proven great increases with marksmanship. I train many of the drill sergeants ensuring the information they deliver is the most accurate and digestible.

    Accuracy/Precision testing target

Good point, that was poorly thought out. One MOA to the largest of eight MOA. Ideally I want to show the capability of this weapon/ammunition/firing positions/distance. Also the gadget will be used for my data collection from 100m-600y

    Accuracy/Precision testing target

Yes we have the shot marker at work but I’m trying to find something that I can utilize when on the road teaching students. Maybe even an overlay.

    Accuracy/Precision testing target

When developing accuracy/precision I would like to have a simple target with horizontal lines to show vertical spread within 1-8 MOA. Is there anything like it that can be recommended or is this something I’m going to have to create?

Equipment question for a new guy.

I’ve never been the type of guy that follows the easy road. If the possibility exist, I want to find it in my skill set. My current job allows me to gain experience from those around me and increase my knowledge as long as I ask the right questions.

Equipment question for a new guy.

My overall goal for these questions are to collect equipment which has the ability to grow with me as my knowledge/experience increases in time. I’m currently starting with reloading .223/5.56 for 1200m and in on 1MOA sized targets . I’ve also sparked an interest in 6mm arc.

Equipment question for a new guy.

-What is the tool/tools you’ve purchased and never used or found useless? -What’s the tool/tools that you wished that you would’ve purchased earlier in your reloading journey? I apologize if this has been covered multiple times before.

Help restoring a RCBS Rock Chunker.

Thank you, I used a tap and it didn’t clean the threads enough. I considered welding and cutting new threads however, if RCBS is sending a new handle that simplifies my process.

Help restoring a RCBS Rock Chunker.

*Update* I called RCBS customer service and they are sending me 3 tinnerman clips and a new handle under 'warranty'. We agree that removing one side worth of clips would be enough to fully disassemble to restore.

What’s your method of marking for hand loading iterations on brass?

Taking prized load data to virgin brass is just referencing new brass. I recently purchased 100 new brass casings and I know my load data is tuned to my rifles preferences. I would hand load that new brass with my current load data. I’m just curious to how to keep track on when to anneal or...

What’s your method of marking for hand loading iterations on brass?

When load data is complete and taking your prized loads to virgin brass, how do you mark your cases to know what reloading iteration you’re on? I apologize ahead of time if this is already covered in another post.
