Any time you have to compensate for bullet drop to me is long range. but that all depends on the gun and load. a long shot for a .22 lr is different from a .300 utlra mag.

I just bought a .357 mag and was wondering what most of you sight them in for to be dead on (no scope not long range).

Just wondering if It is bad on the meat if you put it in a plastic garbage bag then in you pack when packing out an animal. Trying to keep pack and gear blood free. This would mainly be during early season August/September any other ideas or tips welcome.
