NEW 6.5 WIN. LONG RANGE MAGNUM!!!

My 1 in 9 twist model 700 cdlsf shoots 1 1/2 inch 5 shot groups at 300 yards with 140 grain Berger hunting VLD's. My son has a Sendero in 264 and it shoots 140's equally as well.

NEW 6.5 WIN. LONG RANGE MAGNUM!!!

"Well stop and think for a minute how many NEW belted cartridge have come out in the last 25 years ? I’ll bet you can guess...... And I own and have hunted with belted cartridges for years but if there’s a better option in cartridge design I’m all for it that’s all." How many of the new super...

NEW 6.5 WIN. LONG RANGE MAGNUM!!!

I have three 264's, a pre 64 model 70 westerner, a Remington model 700 CDLSF and a custom Stiller with Manners stock and Broughton 8 twist barrel. The 9 twist barrels in the first 2 will stabilize Berger VLD's just fine. I load Retumbo in all of them and see 3200 fps in the 26 inch barrels and...

    7MM STW vs 28 Nosler

Cinchy, sorry about getting off topic, I just get tired of all the internet jockeys spouting theories, speculation and marketing hype as fact. I'm helping a friend build a 28 Nosler as we speak, Stiller action, Bartlien barrel and Manners Eh1 stock. (waiting on the Manners stock 7 months now) I...

    7MM STW vs 28 Nosler

Your right it was 7 years ago but to say all accuracy records are held by short fat cartridge designs is a bold statement. Here is 2016 Williamsport 1000 yard match results and there are still some old belted cartridge designs still competing. And yes the WSM's are doing well. Match Results...

    7MM STW vs 28 Nosler

"The shorter fat powder column is absalutely an improvement, every accuracy record is held by a short fat powder column case design. There is no one designing cases that are skinny, long, belted and have mass amounts of taper" Ken Brucklacher Sets 1000-Yard Score Record: 100-8X « Daily Bulletin...

    7MM STW vs 28 Nosler

"the shoulder angle keeps more flame concentrated in the neck not blasting directly at the throat with a cross firing effect." And this has been proven when and by whom? Barrel Life - AccuracyTech Practical Tips to Extend Barrel Life - PrecisionRifleBlog.com I see nothing about...

    Manners stock question?

Factory bottom metal works just fine. At least in Remington and Winchester, don't own a Savage. I own an EH1 on a short action Remington in 6xc and 2 T2's, one on a Rem 700 clone custom 264 and one on a Win pre 64 model 70 in 6.5-06 Imp. The factory bottom metal fit perfectly on all 3.

    6 xc load

I'm using 39 grains of Rel 17 with Fed 210 primers, Norma brass and Berger 105 gr hybrids for 3025 fps out of a 26 inch Krieger. Shoots real good in my rifle.

    264 win mag questions

I have 3 264's, one pre 64 Westerner, one Remington Model 700 CDL-SF and one custom built on a Stiller action with a Broughton barrel. My son also owns a Sendero in 264. Our go to load is 68.5 grains of Retumbo, WW cases, Fed 215M primers and Berger 140 hunting VLD's. 68.5 grains of Retumbo is...

    Does "Shooter" app need service

You're right, it doesn't make much difference but the Shooter app asks for it so I enter it anyway. Carry on, I will bow out of this one, you got me.

    Does "Shooter" app need service

I was just responding to your statement that all phones were getting their weather information from the closest weather station, which is wrong. The S5 has a barometer sensor and the new IPhone 6 has one too. I have a thermometer attached to my zipper on my coat so I can use my phone for...
