I have a SAP MAC 10 Open Bolt Pistol for sale. This SAP MAC 10 was built in 1981. I got this pistol from the ill owner who has liquidated all of his hunting firearms. The owner told me he bought this pistol in the early 80s in Texas and brought it to PA on back of his Triumph Motorcycle the same year of his purchase. This pistol has been in a work bench drawer since he brought it home. I was told by the owner that he rarely fired it. Finish is thin on the grip/mag well.

When I got this MAC the bag smelled of mildew and had white marks all over it. My wife and I soaked it in Odor Eaters and rinsed it clean. The white marks did not come out of the bag. The mildew smell is no longer present. I was told the bag could be stained back to it's original color of black. The bag has the original Cobra Patch sewn on the inside of the bag. The bag does not have body armor panels in it but does have the pouches for them. The Armor panels were an option and can be found for sale on some gun boards and gun auction sites.

The SAP MAC 10 comes with the following:

One 10 round Cobra Marked Magazine

One 40 round Cobra Marked Magazine

One 30 round M3 Grease gun magazine - MAC 10s use a modified M3 Grease Gun Magazine. I have read the modification is simple and is for the mag release.

One Cobra Marked Mag Loader

One Cobra Fake Suppressor - Fake Suppressor has speckling on it.

One Cobra Ported Barrel Extension

One Cobra MAC 10 Sling

One Cobra Bag with Cobra Patch and Carry Strap

I think there is also a cleaning rod in this package.

I am posting 6 pictures. If you are seriously interested please PM me your email address and I will send many more pictures to you. I will not sell this pistol to anyone unless they have seen all of these pictures. I want everyone to under stand what they are buying. I have not fired this SAP MAC 10.

Here is some history on the SAP MAC 10:

Originally designed by Gordon Ingram and manufactured by Military Armament Corporation (MAC), the M10 submachine was known for it's simplicity, rugged design and very high rate of fire. When MAC went out of business in 1976, the tooling and rights to manufacture the M10 were purchased by RPB Industries. To bolster their sales, RPB modified the M10 submachine gun and developed a semi-automatic, open bolt pistol (which is what we have here). ALL Open Bolt MAC 10s have SAP stamped in front of the M10 stamping on the frame. This "pistol" was available to a larger segment of the population compared to the full auto version, but because ATF ruled they were too easily converted to full auto fire, manufacture of the open bolt semi-autos was stopped in mid-1982. About a year later, RPB went out of business. While new manufacture of the open bolt semi-autos is not allowed, the few guns made prior to the prohibition are "grandfathered" and legal to own.

This M10 is chambered for the .45 ACP. As mentioned, it is the early open bolt variety and it has a fixed firing pin.

Price is $1,400.00 or Best Offer. This is a pistol and must be registered. Shipping is extra to your FFL and he must be ok with your FFL sending me a copy of his FFL. I will provide him with a copy of my current PA Lic. via email.
