This is a brand new Mac Bros Remington 700 LA bolt with a magnum bolt face. The bolt is complete with firing pin assembly and M16 style extractor. Very nice coating on it. $325 shipped to your door. Please PM with any questions. No trades at this time. Thanks!

Can one of you guys tell me if the M16 extractor need recess on breech or will standard 700 barrel work?
Thanks

I understand... but wandering if the breech needed a cut for M16 style extractor.
I don't have any bolts with this extractor.
I'm asking because I have a couple of Rem/Age Prefit barrels.
Thanks.

I am pretty sure that it would need to be recessed to allow the extractor to move. And as Kasey said, this is not a drop in fit to a factory barreled action. But if someone has a Remington action that they are planning to rebarrel, this would be a great upgrade to the factory bolt.

Bolt needs to be fit to action with proper head space, as others have stated, but NO barrel breech cut is required.

I have a rifle that was built by WTO on a Rem 700 SA receiver, with this Mack Bros bolt (except SA) and the WTO switch lug with 3 barrels. No extractor cut on breech end of barrels. I can send pics of the 2 barrels that are not currently installed if it would help.

Were they all chambered at the same time as the bolt was installed.. seems odd no work was done from an extractor that is inside the breach.. when a stock extractor is in the bolt face area
