Ed I don't sell them I have given several away though I will get around to making one before long and then I will get an address to send you it to test drive . I think with the crow and other sounds like it it's curiosity as them and magpies tend to argue when there id food around .

I have tried the crow distress and has a swarm of crows show up like in the Hitchcock movie. Same thing when I shot crows with a pellet gun as a kid.

So after the swarm does the coyote check in? If you shoot at the crows does that end the party?

Sometimes the coyotes show up at the same time, but mostly it takes them a little longer.
Yes, if you shoot at the crows, you will spook the coyotes.
That said, if you just shoot once then keep on calling, the coyotes are just as likely to come back. It depends on how hard they have been hunted around there.

Here it seems like that when the magpies show up and start making a fuss it peaks the coyote , fox and bobcat interest even more with all of their visual and vocal attractions being displayed it's more natural then just the standard calling sounds . I always figured if I was calling them then I was doing something right . It has been my experience that loud sounds of any type tend to alarm all of the animals .
1. Your stand starts when you exit the vehicle.
2. do not slam doors, ease them shut
3.do not talk loud as you exit the vehicle and walk to the stand, whisper and use hand signals
4.As you pick your stand, make sure that you see the hunters as they sit down, wave to each other, best be in a straight line
5. If you are hunting in a 4 man team, put a 4th guy 150 yards down wind as call wise coyotes will circle and walk right into the 4th man
6. when you pick your stand, use a set of pruning shears and cut hole in a bush or cedar tree, which will hide your silhouette.
7. Always set up to where you can see down wind, place call pointing down wind
8. When you shoot one coyote, shoot from a sitting position if you can, do not stand up and high five the next guy, EXPECT MULTIPLES
9. if legal, put out two cans of sardines in oil, in a dark colored sock, the attractant will drive coyotes crazy when they smell it.
10. When you shoot one coyote, start your stand all over again, expect multiples
11. If you shoot an AR, when you exit the vehicle, do NOT release the bolt in a way that will wake up the dead, that sound will carry for 500 yards or more
12. as you end your stand, expect to see coyotes running into the stand from a distance, be quiet, not talking. Pleanty of time to talk back at the truck.
13. If you stop and get gasoline, do not wear the same set of shoes that you walk to the stand with, as coyotes can smell the gasoline on the bottom of your boots for at least 20 feet
14. Hunt on the leading edges of a low pressure front, during a low pressure front, immediately after a low pressure front passes
15. Scout during a high pressure front, do not call
16. During a full moon, hunt from 10 Am to 3 PM, scout at other times
17. your scent carries a lot further than you would think, mask your scent or give them more parts per million of a trappers attractant than your own personal scent.
18. Learn the coyote language, use of howlers...they have no defense against howlers, but you had better know what you are doing when you pick up a howler...they do have a language..if you do not know their language, do not blow a howler
19. If you attach a drag with an attractant to your belt, always watch the direction you walked in from. Use a scent killer on your boots prior to applying the attractant.
20. For a white man, use a camo face mask and camo gloves to cover up the white skin
21. Reduce the glare on your guns, they see reflections quickly
22. Predator's eyes are set up for night vision, so they do not see colors well at all. However, their brain is set up to see the slightest amount of movement, including your eyes blinking.
23. Look with your eyes, not by swinging your head back and forth...IDIOTS do this kind of thing
24. when you carve a place in a bush to hide ourself, be sure to cut enough limbs. If you move your eyes and see a coyote standing looking straight at you, he is trying to figure out what you are, he has not smelled you, nor has he seen any white skin, so raise your gun slowly, fire ASAP. Coyotes disappear like Ghosts.
25. do not underestimate a shotgun with a full or extra full choke with std Rem, fed, or Win #4 buck. Federal flite control wads like Modified and light modified chokes.
26. if you shoot a coyote and he is flopping, spinning, hit him again. When using a shot gun, if his tail is even moving, hit him again...coyotes take a lot of killing.

Vince, I would like to know more about your use of sardines. A scent cover up and attractant?
Clam juice works good too. In a spray bottle. Spray down wind on response to the caller.
You can trick their eyes, you can trick their ears, you'll never trick their nose......
