In Arizona and went for a hike to the top of a hill where no trails or "tourists" around. Saw some lizards, birds, tiny little rabbit, and some glimpses of others that were gone too fast.
I get to the top and notice some crap that I have never seen. No tracks visible because it's rock and too solid. It was only at the top of the hill and on ridge lines. No hair, seeds, etc. I thought small
cat at first then saw clusters of it.
So what animal did I not see but it's crap?

I just looked and AZFG maps says Kit Fox range is where I saw this. You may be correct. Legit what ever it is was enjoying the views while loosing some weight. No question to me it had an area it called home. Lol
I bow hunted on Catalina Island Ca. out of San Pedro boat trip to it feral hogs and Spanish goats. The only natural predator was the Santa Catalina kit fox. Lol.one day i shot a feral hog and was walking back to road..I saw a huge bull buffalo buy itself .The Wrigley's (gum) owned a lot of the island and put buffalo on it . I always carried a Minolta 7000 w/400 mm zoom with me. Hang with me now...I left my pack on top of the hill and snuck down to within 20 yds of him. I'm snapping pics of the buff and I look up towards my pack and say what the heck is that. I didn't use that word but you know why. I looked in my binos and it was a kit fox digging in my pack ! I thought how cute. Click click click. Then I remembered my sandwich ! I took off up the hill and the fox took off. Looked in my open pack. Sandwich safe. I kneeled down and started squeaking on my hand. That little sucker ran right to be about 8 ft. away. I focused and got of 2 pics. Then he ran off. All the pics came out great but the series of him digging in my pack and popping his head up to look around are priceless. Might tell you sometime about what happened the following morning in the fog ending up in the middle of a bunch of buffalo within 5 yds. ...
