I have some, but that's not the first order of business. What are the options to ship? I know that USPS doesn't want it. Can anyone clue me in as to the rules about shipping with say UPS or Fedex? Does it cost an arm and a leg more?

Hope this is not a taboo topic......

I use UPS it's not that bad before this year you had to have an ORMD sticker now it is a limited quantities sticker on the package but you also must go to a customer service center or hub UPS stores are owned independently and most will not ship live ammo

I have shipped a few boxes out the last few months. UPS ground takes 2 to 3 days and cost 16.00 to 17.00 for the ones I have shipped. Weight of boxes were 15 to 20lbs.

+1 It also helps to work at a place with UPS hub in place. Just make sure the sticker is on the box - just in case.

UPS, limited quantity sticker, has to be taken to hub or have a pickup account and they offer flat rate (called simple rate) you use your box and is based on size. I shipped a case of rifle ammo from Indy to Texas for $13 plus insurance.

I'll have to figure out where my closest UPS hub is I guess. I have a variety of live ammo, some in obscure stuff that might interest someone that I realize that other someone would like better to have than I.....

Ahhhhhh.......sooner or later he will get a call from a Federal Postal inspector .....and he will tell him that's against the law.
The Lady at Post Office asks me each time if there us anything that may leak or explode and I have to sign stating there is not.So if he gets caught he will be in major trouble.

Exactly
Too many people that are non-ammo/reloading businesses say UPS or FedEx won't ship ammo, powder or primers for them. That's because you're taking it to a "UPS Store" or a independently owned FedEx shipper. Go to UPS hub or an actual FedEx facility and they'll get it out for you. It's not even a big deal anymore. They'll gladly take your $20(ish) to ship small amounts.

Go to the ups hub and tell them most of the time the label is good enough or they will give u stickers

Powder or primers alone are considered hazardous material (HAZMAT). You must be a certified HAZMAT shipper to send them. No facility will take them without the necessary HAZMAT documents provided by the originator. Oddly, loaded ammo is not classified as HAZMAT. It used to be classified as ORM-D (other regulated materials for domestic transport) and require specific box labeling but the Department of Transportation eliminated that labeling requirement December 31, 2020.
