RL26 @ Midsouth

There seems to be more and more negative remarks on somebody helping somebody else out here lately. I think the heads up we give each other are the way things should be and small things like that go a long way with me. We should all help each other here or we will soon wind up like other sites. This is by far the best site available for things like this, sharing information and meeting good people with piles of knowledge. There's some old timers on here and me being in my late 20s, have learned a great deal of knowledge from these folks. I don't want to be the only one being able to enjoy my rifles while some of these great folks on here have been sitting idle because they've been without components to shoot theirs. I'd rather people here get it than anybody I know. I don't come here only to buy things... I come here to learn and I learn a lot from other people's experiences.

I love helping people out. Do it all the time. Just the other day I opened the doors to my personal primer supply and let people buy thousands of my primers at normal retail prices since they are so hard to find and people who have them are price gouging. Helped a lot of shooters who were running out.

It's all the same ridiculousness we went thru in 2008. Publicly posting where components are doesn't really help the people who aren't greedy and really need them as much as it helps the panic hoarders.

If someone really needs something they'll post a wanted ad. Then if you know where something is you send them a PM.

I think people have pretty much given up on the looking and are just waiting around on it to appear. Same way I have been with Retumbo and SRP...
I personally feel that it's nearly pointless to post a wanted ad for something that's almost non existent. Everybody wants or needs it and if that were the case, you'd see hundreds of folks a day posting WTB ads for the non existent things we all know of.

Why did you hoard thousands of primers?

I use a lot every year and I've picked up a box here and there over many years. Big part of my load development is testing different primers. Not hoarding. I have owned and tested more cartridges in my life than you can probably name off hand.

When I realized I had an excess and fellow shooters were in need, I helped out and sold a portion of my supply at fair prices. I maybe sold more than I should have but I'll get by. Certainly could have just sat on them or charged insane prices like everyone else is but I didn't.

My thinking is it's going to sell out in minutes anyway. It's not like H1000 or RL26 are going to sit around undiscovered for days online so may as well give a heads up to the members here so maybe they can get a few pounds. I have gotten powder more then once from guys posting when something is in stock. The 20 guys looking at the reloading classifieds at 9:00 pm on a Thursday night aren't the problem right now.

Well I for one appreciated the heads up. Been getting low and looking. The other day I found some but it was gone before I could check out. I dont consider myself a hoarder but I bought enough to offset the hazmat and shipping. I much prefer to buy powder local but it has been non existent here.

I doubt if anyone is from the Central California area on here, but I could spare a couple pounds of RL 26 at pre covid price if someone is in need of it. I won't ship powder/primers. PM me if interested.

I'm all for the heads up in this site. People who are buying a lot of powder in this website most likely shoot a lot. 8 lbs of RL26 is nothing when you are loading 80-90 grs of it.
Agreed... I have seen others and been accused of being a hoarder before. I don't consider someone a hoarder if they have an abundance of supplies but use them or help others out when needed. I about faint when I watch my buddy dumping over 100 grains into his 30-378 wby, a pound goes pretty quick. Lol.
