Reloading supplies demand

There's at least three fellows that I know who bought up a bunch of reloading supplies & equipment over the dilemmas of the past 10 years or so. None of those 3 even reloaded one single cartridge. But I guess they have it if they need it. They're going to have learn handloading really quick if they need it on short notice.

They had a bunch and I could afford 2 or 3 eight pounders but I don't wanna be that guy one will last me quite a while thanks again brother

I learned beginning in 08. Buy a little hear and there every month, until you get your desired amounts. Don't wait for a SHTF scenario, because by that time it will be too late. I bought powders back then that I'll never use. Like 8lbs of H414, 3031, oh and RL26, H1000, VV570 😁

Big fan of the little here, little there approach. Over the last year, I've been able to source 95% of my powder needs locally at small gun shops. I've generally found what I needed to support my experimentation Without having to resort to shipping and hazmat fees. I am fortunate to have 24 powders on hand with minimum of one pound in reserve for each. I try not to go overboard, but I have been hoarding an 8 pounders of H1000, H4350 and Reloder 26.

Hey Guys, just FYI: late night searching (00:30 HRS PST on 3/21) and found 1 pounders of H4350 at Graf & Sons. $30.99 a pound. 8# are $212.99 but out of stock, so you're paying a $4.50 lb differential. I snagged 4 pounds for now and will keep a lookout for the 8 pounders which are a lot easier to store, not to mention cheaper. I didn't want to deal with 8 individual bottles.

Their hazmat is only $12.50, plus $9.95 shipping for mine. Not bad compared to some. (Butch's Reloading wants $37 hazmat, which is over the top.)

Reloading Unlimited sends you to in-stock H414 when you search for 4350, and it's just $179 for 8#, but I understand it's not as temp stable so didn't go for it. Please let me know if I should give it a try. Good luck!

Here in central MO I have a local gun shop that I usually get my powder/primers from and back before the "great powder grab of 2020" I got 2# of IMR8133 and RE26, could've gotten more but didn't know at the time what the gun will like the most so I got just enough to do load development.....did load development and found out RE26 was going to work the best, went back to get more, they was out. Decided to try a lb of RE23 and it works just as good as RE26 so I snagged what I could.....then went back got the rest of 23 and then they called and they found 2lbs of Re26......long story short, I finally got a little over 4lbs of RE23 and 3lbs of RE26.....now I need more bullets!

But at any rate, they get their powder from Grafs since it's not that far. They had about 10lbs of varget the other day I was there and it sounded like they had more in storage.....everything else was zilch, H4895, H4350, H1000, Rutumbo.

Thanks, have to check here in a bit. Lol I know one time I seen that PV had RE26 and it didn't take long it was poof, gone. Never got to try H1000 yet in my gun, Re23-26 has been working so good and is easier to find.

RL 23 is the go to powder for my 6.5 x 2 84 norma Norma I tried 26 and got higher velocity but the accuracy was not there and as far as H 1000 that is just a staple powder it works and so many rifles I think everyone has a little of it
