Berger supporters, Vocal Minority with Something to Gain, or Legit?

Here's a Hammered double!! 177 HH from a 28 Nosler inside 400 yards, one took only one shot through the slats the second one took one through the slats but held her feed facing me so I took the opportunity to put one through as much bone as possible and drilled her shoulder through a bunch of ribs, finding the bullet in her of side pelvic. Again, why would someone not be jacked about the lethality in these pictures!!View attachment 162984 View attachment 162987 View attachment 162989
Ahhh... I'll take the heart please....
Go Hammers ! Lol

I shot my first critter with the Berger this fall. It was successful. the shot was 386 yards on an adult pronghorn buck. After the autopsy, I concluded that COD was blood loss due to extensive tissue damage. The wound channel resembled that of similar type wounds caused by: Nosler Partition, Ballistic Tip, and Accubond - Sierra TGK, GK, Pro Hunter, and MK - Berger VLD H, HY, OTM, and JT - Speer Hot Core and Grand Slam - Federal Fusion and Hi Shok - Winchester Silver Tip, Power Point, and XP - Remington Core-Lokt and Bronze Point...

I really want to shoot the 215 Hybrid, despite witnessing poor performance with the VLD with my own eyes. So I started really using the Google and reading real world reports here there and everywhere. The one thing that I realized, there is a very vocal group of people who are members of every single forum on the internets. There are like 3-4 people who are members of every shooting forum that ever was and post on all of them day in and day out. Don't you people have something better to do? Anyway, when you really weed through the "amazing" reports from the vocal minority, you find a lot of more joe average type guys who don't have the best things to say but seem to get drowned out or shouted down by a couple people who allegedly have killed ten thousand game animals without a failure.

Is it all guerrilla marketing?
Well, now you are catching on....in any sport there are about 3 people that really know what is going on, everyone else is following. ...good work!

I want berger consistancy, with an accubond core and and eldx tip.....is that too much to ask for?
A true match grade bullet (berger)
A real bonded core (accubond)
And consistent expansion (eld-x)....

A bonded berger with a polymer tip to ensure expansion....simple right?

I suppose while I'm dreaming, I'd like this in a sub 1/2moa 7lb rifle with a 250@ 3000 and .9 bc with little recoil and no brake.
That would be a dream come true for sure !

I have not used them yet!!! But a friend of mine loves them in his custom 300 wm and I seen first hand his 6.5 cm is deadly with berger's / nosler ballistic tip not so much. I shoot a 6.5-284 norma using 140 accubond I have lost two killed 3 just got gun last year so I am thinking Berger

Yeah I still don't see the point of the only two questions you asked:
Do people have better things to do, or guerrilla marketing?
Because you essentially state you can't find honest, real-world opinion without confirmation-bias on a bullet and more likely and interesting, a bullet manufacturer you either directly or indirectly didn't have success with. Then before you send it, you set the stage that it has to be some weird "elitist" argument between the poor 'ol truth-seeking "average joe" vs the "3 to 4 rich hunters taking all our animals" or anyone who can or does have success with them, just to be disqualified and invalidated the moment they give their experience and/or opinion as if it comes from some blind brand loyalty based on zero real-world data; just like you did with Rhovee, your #3 poster on your thread. It didn't seem like you read his post but the man shared his opinion, shared what we all know with many un-disciplined shooters out hunting long range that haven't practiced enough, then gave his testament that Berger hunting bullets have their failures in certain scenarios and what to look for. To that you quickly dismissed his share as if he owns the company.
I guess what I'm trying to say is Bergers are the best, all the others suck :D

What I really think is funny is that Troutslayer 2 actually witnessed the bullet in question in failure mode and wants the internet to convince him that he should not believe his own eyes. That is I guess, because the internet already had convinced him he should use that bullet? It will work as stated or won't work...as stated. Ultimately you will have to see for yourself...again.

I have used variety of bullets over the years. First it was sierra. Swore by 63 gr. smp in 22-250 for deer several years.Last2 years i used them had pencil holes in and out so that ended that experiment. Moved up to 243 and concentrated mostly on accuracy with hunting secondary. twist rates held bullet weights down since I wanted to use vld type bullets. 87vld came out in hunting and ever since first season my brother and I have used nothing else. used on whitetail at 15 to 250yds. Some where in the neighborhood of 25 deer with only 2 that we did not see go down and they were in sight when we went to last spot seen. I will confess to the fact that not all of the shots were not perfectly placed but I will say that all shots were between front of shoulder and last rib. There have been a few pass through with anything from fragments to baseball sized exits. I put my faith in this bullet because I have seen results that I like and trust. they are out the barrel at 3000 fps. The damage I have witnessed from these bullets inside a deer was almost unbelieveable when I first saw it. Do not care if it does not exit. I will probably get some response on this but I will take a double lung shot over a heart only shot from my experience. My first time leaving a post other than 1 comment about a post.
