performance was good, about a quarter sized hole at 300 yds. still got $50 for the coyote.

Nice rig and definitely lighter than mine. I put a Boyd's Classic laminated stock on my 6.5 CM RAP. It shoots 1/2 MOA with Hornady 140 gr. ELD-M and 3/4 " (average) with Hornady 143 ELD-X Precision Hunter ammo. That RAP is accurate! Now if only the bolt would stay closed when it's loaded and on safe!

The reason I put a wood stock on my RAP is because I have a 6.5 CM RPR for competition and one chassis stock is enough for now.

Our go to 6.5 load for coyote for "explosive internals" is to over drive the Hornady 123gr
SST Grendal bullets up at 28/2900 fps, with a Creedmore, 260, 6.5x55 and you have one
"Bad Boy" coyote connection.
Here is our rig, scope is one of the new Lonestar 4.5x 18 FFP scopes.

How do you like the scope, is it anywhere close to repeatable? Seems like it might be okay for a budget scope.

These scopes are crazy nice for the money. Optically its Vx3ish. Very nice reticule. Have not done a tall target test with yet to give you some hard numbers, but what I have played with it was lined up to a 300 yd zero , I calculated the clicks with Strelok ( reticule listed in Pro version)and then tryed a Quart soda bottle, at 450 yds bingo first shot, then dailed a milk jug at 600 yds , same results. So then returned it to its 300 yd zero stop, and shot a 3/4" group with the 140 VLDs ontop of 50grs of RL26 , so it aint bad for a " budget scope" Lol.
Actually compared to my Vortex Viper PST , the Lonestar is increadible value optically!
How it will hold up after 10, 000 twists on the turrets remains to be seen........

Here's a coyote I took at 300yds with my Howa 6.5 Creedmoor & 140 gr Berger VLD hunting rounds.
I loaded these for deer hunting but they are so long I can barely load them in internal mag so I'm single loading them for coyotes at distance. Blatant Vortex endorsement, Ha-ha. View attachment 84938
