With the colaboartion of one of the wifes unlces, I built myself a .30 cal wildcat last year and never herd of the 7 LRM until today which I was reading about. Mine is .170" shorter to the shoulder and no belt, blown out case and a 30 degree shoulder. The original one was done on a .308 Norma case. However the .375 Ruger case seems to be the better easier way to go with slightly more capacity.
I chamberd the gun last year shot a few rounds through it and kinda left it sit. Initial groups at 100 were extremely good with the first 3 shots sticking to 1/4". Case capacity over the standard norma case were about 3 grains H20 capacity. Have not had a chance to stick it over the chrony.
After reading up about the 7 LRM I might have to break out my .30 again and start working with it again.
I'm a big fan of the non-belted 30 degree mag cases.
The photo shows the 7mm Rem Mag left, and my .30 cal wildcat Right.
