I have a opportunity to buy a pair of Victory 10x42's for $560.00. I called Zeiss, and they said they are the 1st Gen, and at least 14 years old. Questions... is that a good price? They are the T*P*'s. Are they better than the older Classics? They aren't rubber coated like the Classics I understand. Any opinions by owners or users greatly appreciated!

They're good but I personally like the classics better, mainly due to size and feel. It's still a nice 10x. If it's the ones I'm thinking of they're rubber coated, it's the line in between the night owls and the fl's.

I have used and still use Zeiss optics for many years and I can say that if they are Victory, even 1st gen, they are most likely better than the old classics.
One thing about the old classics, is that they are not water proof. That seems like a real nice price.
