im going to gillette in a few days. im curious how high the grass in that area is. will my bipod be high enough to see over it in most areas?

When shooting prone some areas won't work but most will. Take along an alternate rest in your truck just in case.

Over many years of hunting goats in WY, I have learned to have a couple of different length bipods along. And I have seen many hunters using their back-packs as a LR rest. Some hunting areas contain a grass that can grow to 12-16" tall, which provides good cover for the hunter, but may be difficult to shoot over. Be prepared :D,

I use the medium hiegth bipod as I found that the 11" model was too low in the sagebrush most of the time. I keep both models with me but the 11-24" model is on the gun and the other in my pack. Tom gun)
