Well I can't believe I'm doing this and but I'm selling my 300 win mag. I have a 300wsm and a 264 win mag so this is going down the road. Rifle started life as an action I got from Jim Borden. I gathered a few parts here and there over the course of a year from members on the site. Kevin Cram built the rifle for me out of the parts I provided him, and he did an amazing job!
Howa Action (trued)
27 ½" 1-10 right hand twist Black star barrel (.750/muzzle), no turn neck, .342 neck/0 free bore , fitted with a Reodale precision muzzle break (feels like a 243), the rifle weight is a guess at 10 to 12 pounds without the optic.
Rem 700 LA mag box installed by Kirby Allen (this really helps with the VLD bullets)
Manners MCST stock in GAP 3 color woodland, 2 flush cups on the left and one swivel stud for a bipod.
Timney Trigger, Howa standard latching bottom metal.
The rifle has been painted; I sprayed the barrel in OD green allumihyde II from Brownells, Then cleaned it all off prepped the barreled action and airbrushed the entire rifle with the same coating in gloss black. I also stripped the bolt and re-painted in gloss black as well.
Optic is Leupold's Mk4 ER/T M5 FFP MIL/MIL, 0.1 adjustment, with M1 turrets in 6.5-20x50mm, rings are Night force ultra-light, Night force 20MOA base
I have one go to load for the rifle, 185g VLD (hunting), Nosler Brass, 81g H1000, CCI BR2 primer. I moves along at 3030 FPS and seams fairly spot on with my shooter app. Don't have a lot of rounds down the bore, but enough to know I am taking a huge loss (Less than 300). I did an overly anal bore break in with one shot and clean for 30 rounds then to 3 shots and 5. I have never let the barrel get hot, never fired more than 3 rounds at time.
Included with the price are going to be 4 boxes of Nosler brass, and 123 pieces of once fired Federal GMM, from another rifle, and the Honrnady New dimension dies.
I would like 3,500 for the package I have 3k invested so far in the rifle, and 1800 in the optic (the bipod is not included). I will separate the package 2500 for the rifle and 1500 for the optic (I know they don't add up). I'm open to offers; I'm selling to buy a Ruger GSR, and a new Bushnell/Horus optic for my 264 win. Obviously gun trades are for the Ruger, but optics, are not off the table. A compact mil/mil NF in 2.5-10 is also an option.
