Looking for savage s-2 trigger.

Are you dead set on the SAV2? I have two of them and two of the SAV1s in four different rifles I've built or had built for me, and run them all at 1.5 lbs. I really can't tell any difference in the feel. If you are planning on going ultra light with the pull weight the 2 is better, but for the weight I run I figure why spend the extra money.

This is going on an FTR rifle so I'd like it to be below 1lb. I have a three screw trigger now, not sure of brand, but I can't get it light enough without slam firing. I have a SSS on another rifle that seems to work well (no idea pull weight), hindsight I should have gone w/ the S-1.

Ah. In that case being able to move the pivot pin to increase leverage without lightening the spring too much (avoiding that dreaded slam-fire) makes the SAV2 your definite winner.
