I have a 700 in .338lm that has a XCR long range stock on it.
The rifle has never been fired and I was planning on putting it in a AICS chassis, but now i keep thinking of building it into a ''lightweight'' .338lm hunting rifle.
The original stock was put on other guys rifle i .300wm.
The XCR stock does not freefloat with a bipod.
Which stock can I use that is good for long range, lightweight and stiff.
I was thinking about the McMillan HTG, but I don't know how stiff it is.
Will it handle the canon diameter of my 338lm barrel?
