I'm starting on developing a load for my nephew's Tikka T3X in .300 win mag using 180 gr TTSXs. It's got a 1:11 twist. I want to load up 2 different powders for 10 shot ladder tests. I have H1000, H4831SC, H4350 and IMR7828SSC. Which 2 of the 4 would you start with?

I have had good luck with H1000 in the 300wm. That is where I would start. If you can't find something that works, my second choice would be H4831SC. The 7828 is probably going to give you better velocity, but I've never had good luck getting the accuracy that I was looking for. That being said, each rifle is different. Good luck!

For my personal experience on my SAKO M995 in .300 WM with 1:11", I have used all of the powder you listed and my best result in order of precedence is the H4831SC, a toss between H1000 and IMR 7828SSC, and H4350. Each rifle is different, I have 3 .300 WMs and one of them prefers the IMR 7828SSC. You just need to try which one your rifle likes. Good luck!
