Which palm pda?

I know this has been beat to death. I have a palm Vx and Night Force software(exball version 5.5) for it. It won't find the installer. Something to do with old pda and vista. I am sick of trying to make it work and calling my big brother a software engineer.

So my question is who is using version 5.5 and which palm pda so I can buy it. Not interested in a smart phone either.

Dell Axim 50, You can get em pretty cheap on e-bay. I bought two and leave the spare in the truck.

Brent, make sure your USB to serial cable is Vista compatible. I'm willing to bet this is your problem.

Unfortunately I already have software for palm which is a different OS then the pocket pc's(dell). I got this palm for free downloaded the software from palm.com and didn't foresee this problem coming.
