Anything i can see.
Grass, trees, dirt, mirage, rain, pretty much anything that moves in the wind.
Mirage is probably my best friend for downrange wind speed, tall weeds and treelimbs are second.
Kestral's are really nice for learning windspeed indicators, and verifying it is what you think it may be.
