Weaver Scope mount 431T Savage 11

I decided to go with a 1 piece scope rail for my new Savage model 11 SA 7mm WSM. fit is good, all screw holes line up right, but the front screw bottoms out before tightening. The barrel threads are in the front hole, and the screw needs to be shorter. I took all the screws out to see if one was shorter and there isn't one. Is there a place to get a shorter screw for the savage, or do you guys grind them down.
