M1 carbine scope mount

I am looking for an M1 carbine, original scope mount. This carbine has the four screw holes drilled and tapped in the left side of the receiver, presently the rifle has a plastic filler piece between the receiver and the stock. I have tried eBay, Gun's International and Numrich; however...have struck out with all of them. Hope someone can give me another source for the scope base, and rings if I can find them. Thanks for all replies.

Won't a Weaver side mount work? They were used on many rifles.

Yes there are plenty of after market scope bases, I'm trying to keep the rifle original as possible. These mounts seem to be tough to find
