I am wondering what has worked well for those out there shooting Weatherby vanguards. My rifle is a Weatherby vanguard sub MOA stainless in 30-06, my scope is an Alpen Apex 6-24x50 with 30mm main tube. I want a base with 20 MOA built in and am considering the Nightforce direct mount as I don't really want to go the "tactical" picatinny route with this rifle. Will any rem 700 long action base work with this rifle? As always the input is very much appreciated.
