Is anyone really only using a Garmin Epix or Fenix for nav? I've been on the fence for a couple of years and am getting pretty close to leaning over in a "buy" direction. That said, I despise spending money on technology with the rate of obsolescence. I'm not anti-innovation to be clear, just anti wastefulness when there are so many other things to spend money on.

Battery life will be the issue, I haven't used it for navigation, in an emergency I would. But I use it all the time for tracking workouts, rides, skiing, everything. Garmin fenix.
